Answer: Charon was the ferryman of the underworld
who bought the souls of the dead across the river Styx to
the gates of the underworld. He only allowed those who had
been properly buried and could pay the fee of a coin to board
his boat. Hence the name Charon is immersed in centuries of
tradition in Death Care.
Question: What does the Charon
Cemetery Management Suite provide?
Answer: Charon Cemetery Management Suite provides
completely integrated and user friendly software for the death
care industry including fully integrated Cemetery Records, GIS
Cemetery Mapping, Touch Screen, Accounting, Web capability and
Hand Held PDA capability.
Question: Who developed the fully integrated
Charon Cemetery Management Suite?
Answer: The Charon Cemetery Management Suite
was originally developed over 10 years ago by Axiom Business
Systems in partnership with Australia’s top death care
professionals. The software was developed by Axiom's dedicated
development team and with help from people in the death care
industry.The software has been continually enhanced over the
last 10 years to meet the ever changing needs of Axiom’s
customers and future customers. The Charon Cemetery Management
Suite has been developed in a Microsoft Windows environment
and has continued to improve visually in line with the visual
changes Microsoft has introduced over the last 10 years.
Question: What is Sage Pro Series?
Answer: The Charon Cemetery Management Suite
is fully integrated with Sage Pro Series, an internationally
renowned Accounting System with in excess of 500,000 business
users worldwide. Axiom has developed the Charon Cemetery Records
moduleto be seamlessly integrated into the Sage Pro Series
software. It is functionally and visually the same as all
other Sage Pro Series modules. The Charon Cemetery Records
module has been developed using the high standards of an internationally
renowned company such as Sage.
Question: What is planned for the Charon
Cemetery Management Suite in the next 3 years?
Answer: Axiom was recently awarded a Software
Development Grant from the Australian Government. With this
commitment from the Australian Government and the commitment
from Axiom’s Directors, the next 3 years will be a period
where Axiom embarks on a large amount of development work
on the Charon Cemetery Management Suite. Changes to the Suite
will include the addition of a new fully integrated CRM module,
an option for an SQL Server backend and a full re-design of
the various Mapping and Touch Screen applications in a .NET
environment. During this period Axiom will also continue to
develop and improve the Suite in line with the requirements
of existing customers and future customers.
Question: The Charon
Cemetery Management Suite contains many integrated modules.
Would a cemetery need to purchase all modules or is it possible
to just purchase a few? If a few are purchased are they still
integrated?
Answer: The Charon Cemetery Management Suite
contains many modules, some modules are required to keep the
system integrated; however if a customer decides to purchase
an Accounting/ Record Keeping module, Axiom can provide just
that. Axiom are able to develop a package that is suited to
the customers needs which is the key to why Charon is highly
recognized as the number one solution in Cemetery Management
